Finding Efficiencies in Zambia’s Immunisation Supply Chain

This report discusses the current state of Zambia's immunization supply chain and outlines goals related to improving vaccine delivery—thereby increasing childhood immunization coverage and reducing costs. According to this report, opportunities identified for streamlining the supply chain included changes to vaccine delivery frequency, optimizing transport through multi-stop routes, and changes to the hierarchy of the supply chain. The report concluded that such changes would eliminate the need for extensive health facility staff travel, resulting in more efficient service delivery.
