Stop the Cycle of Diarrheal Disease: A State of the Field Report

This report discusses current progress in reducing deaths due to diarrhea and illustrates strategies to scale up the use of existing interventions, including safe water, improved sanitation and hygiene, breastfeeding and optimal complementary feeding, rotavirus vaccines, zinc treatment, and oral rehydration therapy/oral rehydration solution. The report also provides calls for multilateral organizations and donors to raise awareness of the need for continued support of disease intervention programs, as well as the development of new interventions including vaccines and drug treatments.
