2017 Pneumonia & Diarrhea Progress Report: Driving Progress Through Equitable Investment and Action
This report evaluates the progress of the 15 countries with the greatest burden of pneumonia and diarrhea deaths among children under the age of five years in implementing the high-impact interventions outlined in the Global Action Plan for the Prevention and Control of Pneumonia and Diarrhea. Key interventions examined include immunization coverage for five vaccines that protect against pneumonia and diarrhea, the use of other treatments such as oral rehydration salts and zinc, and exclusive breastfeeding for the first six months of life.
