Early Impact of Pneumococcal Conjugate Vaccines in African Countries

This supplement of Clinical Infectious Diseases contains 14 articles describing the impact of routine vaccination with pneumococcal conjugate vaccine (PCV) in several African countries. The articles report results from analyses showing declines in pediatric pneumonia and meningitis hospitalizations following the introduction of PCV, and describe the etiology of cases post-PCV introduction.
