Introduction and service delivery

Effective and efficient vaccine delivery, for both routine immunization and new vaccine introduction, is critical for saving lives through immunization. Health care professionals working in resource-poor countries face unique challenges in delivering vaccines due to the often variable conditions around them, such as poor infrastructure and the remote locations of some communities. Additionally, health care workers must manage an array of actors that can be involved in immunization programs, as well as navigate specific guidelines for immunization timing and address a lack of awareness among the general public about vaccines.

PATH is working to improve the introduction and delivery of vaccines to those in need by working with local governments and other partners to provide them with information, resources, and support. Visit PATH’s website to learn more about its work on increasing access to lifesaving vaccines.
